Vitantonio Liuzzi - 2004 Formula 3000 champion
Driving for Arden International, Vitantonio Liuzzi dominated the championship with 6 wins. He claimed the title
when he finished 2nd at the Belgium GP (Aug 28, 2004) with 1 more race to go. He won the final race at Monza finishing
with 7 wins for the season.
LUIZZI (ARDEN): "... It's great, finally we did it. It's very exciting. I did not believe it until I crossed the
chequered flag ... In the middle of the race other cars were catching me but I stayed calm. I had to think about
the championship."
